EMPLOYEE LEARNING

Initiatives designed by organizations to enhance the knowledge, skills, and competencies of their employees

STEP UP stands for Skills Training and Enhancement Program for UP Employees. It is the umbrella program of HRDO for all trainings targeting technical competencies. To date, the program was able to cover administrative officers, information technology personnel, and campus maintenance staff in its roster of graduates.

LEVEL UP stands for Leading the Excellence in Value Empowerment through Learning for UP Employees. It is the umbrella program of HRDO for all trainings targeting leadership competencies. These competencies include demonstrating courageous and decisive leadership, leading change, managing performance and coaching for results, partnering and networking, and strategic planning and organizing.

Example of core and organizational competencies include delivering academic and service excellence, demonstrating personal effectiveness, exemplifying credible public service, communicating effectively, creativity and innovation, critical thinking and problem solving, and teamwork and collaboration.

LINANG aims to strengthen relationships, social responsibility, and quality work among employees. The program equips participants with essential knowledge, attitudes, and skills to enhance professional expertise and effective service delivery.

EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT

Refers to the emotional commitment and involvement of employees in their work and the organization they work for.

The SIBOL Onboarding Program is the primary program for new UP Diliman employees. Derived from the word sibol which means to sprout or to grow, the SIBOL Onboarding Program aims to provide guidance to new University employees to acquire the knowledge and skills essential for their first year of service.

The Pre-Retirement Orientation for UP Diliman Employees (PROUD) provides retirees with guidance and assistance in understanding the procedure and guidelines for claiming their retirement benefits. It aims to familiarize would-be retirees on the government retirement plans and benefits as well as available business opportunities or other productive options/pursuits.

Designed to harmonize UP Diliman employees' understanding and appreciation of existing and new University requirements and processes related to human resource matters. The goal is to obtain an efficient and effective service delivery to our employees in the new normal. This program is intended for Unit Heads and Unit Administrative Officers/Acting Administrative Officers.

UsaP Tayo is a workshop series that aims to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange between HRDO and representatives from different units in UP Diliman. This will be a combination of workshops and open dialogue on employee management and development to empower personnel from different units and strengthen the university's overall success.

GET UP, which stands for Group Exercise and Training for UP Employees, aims to inculcate to employees the importance of a healthy lifestyle and a regimen of regular physical fitness activities as a strategy to reduce the risk of developing common non-communicable diseases associated with a sedentary lifestyle.

Online programs include self-paced learning platform thru the OPEN UP and a compilation of digital learning modules provided by external platforms thru the Learning Capsules.

OPEN UP is building on its foundation as an online learning platform for UP Diliman employees. Its new meaning, Online Programs for Employee Learning and Nurturing for UP Diliman, conveys the bigger role OPEN UP is tasked to take on.
