

Skills Training and Enhancement Program for UP Employees
STEP UP stands for Skills Training and Enhancement Program for UP Employees. It is the umbrella program of HRDO for all trainings targeting technical competencies. To date, the program was able to cover administrative officers, information technology personnel, and campus maintenance staff in its roster of graduates.

The Skill Training and Enhancement Program for UP employees on Accounting for Financial Disbursement Processing (STEP UP - AFDP) is a comprehensive 40-hour training initiative designed to assess, upgrade, and update the technical competencies, knowledge, and professional attitudes of selected administrative personnel with financial disbursement functions in UP Diliman. This program aims to equip participants with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills required to comply with government accounting standards and established university procedures in accomplishing documentation packages and auditing forms for common government transactions within the university.
Ang STEP UP: Masinop na Pagsulat ng Korespondensiya Opisyal ay walong (8) oras na pagsasanay para sa mga administratibong kawani ng Unibersidad ng Pilipinas. Ito ay panimulang hakbang na naglalayong mapaunlad ang kasanayan ng akademikong komunidad sa pagsulat sa wikang Filipino para sa tunguhing ganap na magamit ito sa opisyal na komunikasyon sa Unibersidad.
The launch of the Skills Training and Enhancement Program for UP Diliman Employees (STEP UP) marked a significant milestone in the university's partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), a collaboration that began in 2019. The program, specifically designed to focus on the functional aspects of staff development, aligned perfectly with TESDA's mission to provide comprehensive training for workers and aspiring professionals across various fields. This particular edition of STEP UP concentrated on developing housekeeping skills, offering participants a month-long theoretical and practical training program under TESDA's guidance. The training was structured to help participants achieve National Certificate II in Housekeeping qualifications, certifying their ability to maintain orderly spaces and provide excellent service to clients.
