The University of the Philippines Diliman HRDO recently held a pivotal Consultative Dialogue with the university employees, primarily geared towards fostering an environment of open communication and mutual understanding among the university’s esteemed staff.
Attended by 133 participants, the event served as a vital forum for the university employees to seek clarification on various HRDO policies, requirements, and processes. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions, addressing concerns and gaining valuable insights in the policies and services offered by the human resource development at UP Diliman.
This consultative dialogue represents another step in UP Diliman's ongoing efforts to build a stronger, and more transparent academic community. More than these, HRDO Director Arthur Gonzales III reiterated the primary goal of the office: to support the overall career development of every UP Diliman employee. This underscores the HRDO’s commitment to maintaining a transparent, responsive, and employee-centric work environment at UP Diliman.
Key HRDO representatives from various divisions and sections elaborated significant steps they are taking towards the attainment of the university’s strategic goals. Ms. Rosalinda Tingco and Mr. Pelagio Bengco of Human Resource Recruitment Division (HRRD) highlighted the division’s effective utilization of available platforms of recruitment, highlighting also the future of the university’s recruitment through the new Trabaho Job Portal. Building on these, Ms. Emma C. Boncocan, Ms. Glenda Glodoveza and Mr. JM Orqueta of the Human Resource Planning and Research Division (HRPRD) harped on the division’s efficiency in providing employee’s best experience through a significant update on PUSO’s integration, launching of UPD Cares and even the expanded coverage of RFID application to contractual employees. Meanwhile, Human Resource Development and Benefits Division’s (HRDBD) Ms. Leizel Lectura emphasized the division’s continuous commitment in upholding strategic governance through transparency and attaining value based leadership through extensive curriculum development. She further added the increased employee engagements through PROUD and SIBOL events of the division.
As the final consultative dialogue of 2024, the event holds special significance in summarizing the year's progress and setting the stage for future improvements and organizational advancements. The insights gathered from this and previous dialogues will inform HR strategies and initiatives in the coming year. The UP Diliman HRDO extends its appreciation to all the participants for their dedication to improving the university's HR processes and looks forward to implementing positive changes based on the valuable feedback received throughout the year.
