The webinar Consultative Dialogue on Human Resource Procedures in the New Normal has recently been concluded last January 25, with 183 unit heads and administrative officers joining the Q&A and live open forum via Zoom. A self-paced program version of the dialogue was also launched last January 13, with over 216 employees accessing the website. The webinar and website were presented and created by the Human Resource Development Office (HRDO) with the goal of bridging the knowledge gap of unit heads and administrative employees with HRDO’s processes and systems.

HRDO Deputy Director Arthur Gonzales III opened the dialogue with a program briefer, while Vice Chancellor Adeline Pacia gave her closing message to the attendees.
HRDO Deputy Director Arthur Gonzales III first presented the objectives of the program, as well as the employees' profile and level of knowledge regarding HRDO processes and documentary requirements. Soon after, employees from the Department of Psychology, College of Architecture, University Food Service, Institute of Islamic Studies, and National College of Public Administration and Governance shared their experiences in transacting and coordinating with the different sections of HRDO. Professors and administrative officers were candid with the challenges they faced when availing of HRDO's services, while they also commended the efforts extended by the office during the pandemic.

Assistant Professor Ruby Teresa De Leon from the College of Architecture shares her experiences in obtaining services from HRDO and the challenges she faced when coordinating with the office.
The following session was spent with the HRDO division and section chiefs answering the questions pooled from the registration and pre-evaluation forms submitted by the employees a week before the webinar. The queries focused on recruitment and selection of permanent and contractual employees, employees benefits, study privileges, and performance audit and management.

HRRD Division Chief Rosalinda Tingo and Benefits Section Chief Shierylyn Sison answered the questions of employees from both live questions and pool in queries sent via the consultative dialogue website.
The highlight of the dialogue was the live open forum, where employees were able to send in their specific queries directly to HRDO resource persons. A total of 20 questions from both live question and dialogue box were answered by HRDO Director Augustus Resurreccion and the chiefs from Human Resource Recruitment Division (HRRD), Human Resource Planning and Research Division (HRPRD), and Human Resource Development and Benefits Division (HRDBD). Meanwhile, 26 additional questions were answered via typewritten replies since the webinar has commenced.

HRDO Director Augustus Resurreccion shared his contact details, as well as the other HRDO sections' details to the attendees. He also reinforced the openness of the office to feedback, as well as the transparency it aims when providing services.
Training Section Chief Lea Manlolo synthesized the afternoon's consultations and rich dialogue, and Vice Chancellor Adeline Pacia delivered a short message of appreciation among all the stakeholders who attended the sessions. Director Resurreccion wrapped up the event and committed that all concerns raised will be considered in the continuous efforts of HRDO to create a more efficient and effective delivery of services to UP Diliman community.
Employees who missed the dialogue can anticipate the dedicated FAQ page and replay of the webinar in February. Meanwhile, participants can still access the self-paced materials of the consultative dialogue
