Pre-Retirement Orientation for UP Diliman Employees
The Human Resource Development Office (HRDO) successfully concluded a Pre-Retirement Orientation for UP Diliman employees, held on July 23, August 7, and August 8, 2024. The event brought together 87 prospective retirees from the class of 2025, alongside 24 Administrative Officers, to provide crucial guidance and support as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives.
Vice Chancellor for Administration, Adeline A. Pacia, opened the program by expressing heartfelt gratitude to the participants for their invaluable contributions to the university’s continued success. She encouraged everyone to actively engage with the discussions. Throughout the orientation, attendees were equipped with essential knowledge on navigating the retirement benefits process, securing entitlements from partner agencies, and accessing health services. They also received important advice on enhancing cybersecurity practices and exploring investment opportunities to ensure a secure future.
The event concluded with a message from Chancellor Edgardo Carlo Vistan II, who expressed sincere thanks to the Learning Service Providers, Sponsors, Administrative Personnel, and, most importantly, the esteemed retirees of 2025. In his message to the retirees, he said, "Para sa ating mga magreretiro, maraming salamat sa inyong mga taon ng serbisyo at dedikasyon sa Unibersidad. Ang inyong sipag at tiyaga ay naging mahalagang bahagi ng pag-unlad at tagumpay ng UP Diliman. Sa inyong pagpasok sa bagong yugto ng buhay, nawa'y magsilbing gabay ang mga kaalamang ibinahagi sa oryentasyong ito. Nawa’y maging masaya, malusog, at makabuluhan ang inyong pagreretiro."
The HRDO extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this event, ensuring that the retirees of 2025 are well-prepared for their journey ahead.
