Building Expertise: The STEP UP Program on Accounting Financial Disbursement Processing
In 2023, the Diliman Accounting Office participated in a program on Basic Trainer Competencies. This Training Laboratory (TRAINLAB) workshop series aimed to equip equip in-house Learning Service Providers (LSP) with essential knowledge and skills in lesson planning and classroom management when implementing learning intervention programs.
This year, in 2024, the participants put their learnings into action. They developed the STEP UP on Accounting Financial Disbursement Processing (AFDP) program with the support of the Human Resource Development Office - Training Section. The Diliman Accounting Office successfully launched the program, which was attended by 40 Administrative Officers from 22 units/offices.
The STEP UP- AFDPwas held on May 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th, 2024. This comprehensive 40-hour training program aims to enhance participants' financial competencies by covering vital topics such as the Government Accounting Manual, chart of accounts, various forms, COA Circular No. 2023-004, Executive Order No. 77, Republic Act No. 9184, and internal memos relevant to administrative officers with accounting roles at UP Diliman.
The program's resource speakers came from the Diliman Accounting Office and Commission on Audit. The next batch of STEP UP Program on Accounting Financial Disbursement Processing will be held in August 2024. Registration will open two weeks before the event.
